What We Do.
What is Kuibuka
Kuibuka is a project developed by Sr. Mūmbi Kīgūtha, Dr. Rocio Figueroa, and Lisa Spriggens.
It equips religious sisters across Africa to confront abuse, resist injustice, and support healing within their communities. Through workshops, reflection, and relationship-building, sisters are empowered to become agents of change.

Kuibuka Workshops
Kuibuka workshops are designed to educate, challenge, and offer paths to healing. We educate on the topics of abuse and trauma, with particular emphasis on sexual and spiritual abuse.
Sisters In The Wild
Fun, laughter and connection is resistance to this disconnection, which makes the time spent together outside of the formal workshop even more important!
Worship Together
A commitment to Christ underpins our service and so we make time each morning for mass. We also celebrate feast days together, if we have the opportunity.
If you are a sister in a leadership position in these regions and would like to attend, get in touch. Spaces are limited.

An eye open on the pain I cause to others and what others caused to me.
Be aware in my community, in working places and to work on myself more deeply.
I want to create an atmosphere of sharing, of listening, and understanding.
